Welcome

Introduction

Welcome to the SwiftOtter training course for Adobe Commerce in the Cloud!

"Adobe Commerce Cloud" is, in most respects, the same enterprise platform we know and love. The core code is precisely the same as Adobe Commerce deployed in any other context. And yet, the Cloud version comes with a suite of extra features and tools, and there are key infrastructure and deployment concepts to learn in order to effectively manage an Adobe Commerce store deployed in the Cloud.

Cloud-specific topics are now a major part of the Adobe Commerce Certified Professional (AD0-E717) and Certified Expert (AD0-716) developer exams, making up a total of over 21% and over 30% of the exams, respectively. Knowledge of Cloud topics is critical to achieving these certifications!

In this course, we'll delve into all the unique aspects of Adobe Commerce in the Cloud, from the server architecture to the management tools to the deployment process.

Who Is This Course For?

This course assumes you are already familiar with the fundamentals of development on Adobe Commerce/Magento Open Source.

Two main audiences can benefit from the course:

  • If you are well versed in Adobe Commerce but tackling a Cloud build for the first time, our course will provide a great foundation for you. In fact, even if you've been working on Cloud projects for a while but still struggle with some of the tools or concepts, we think you'll find something worthwhile to learn!
  • Those seeking the Adobe Commerce Professional or Expert developer certifications will be well prepared for the Cloud topics on those exams after completing this course. We'll give detailed treatment to the topics most likely to show up on your exam. The content of this course should be considered appropriately detailed for mastery at the Expert level, and well above the required proficiency for Professional.

What to Expect

A key objective of this course is to make you well-versed in Cloud topics even if you currently have no access to a Cloud environment of your own! With that goal in mind, the course doesn't include any hands-on exercises, nor any expectation of following along in your own environment. What this course does include is plenty of detailed breakdowns, screenshots, and in-depth videos giving you a look into the Cloud tools and interfaces.

We will not cover every possible Cloud topic in these lessons. We will touch on something like 80-85% of everything represented in the official documentation, and we'll often go more in depth on those topics than what you'll find in the documentation itself. We will certainly cover all the concepts you'll use most frequently when managing a Cloud project, and those most likely to appear on certification exams. Where there are specific topics we don't go into, we'll often point you toward the right documentation pages to continue your learning.

You should expect to complete this course in 5-10 hours.

We want to continue improving our offerings in any way we can, so we're happy to hear your feedback on the course! Contact us with your comments and suggestions!
